Solar Yoga Retreat invites you to merge in this 8 days of practice, mindful living, and inspiring activities on the White Island. Writing from Life – Workshop & Retreat with Anthony Cropper – 25th Jan – 1st Feb 2020

What to expect of this one week writing workshop?

Mornings: These sessions will be about exploring your creativity. Exercises designed to help develop creative skills, with play and experimentation in mind. These will draw on life experiences as well as exploring ways to develop fiction.

Afternoons: These sessions will look more closely at technique. We will look at how to layer plots, how to develop symbolism, how to work with dialogue and how to critique and edit.

All sessions will be delivered in a fun, open and engaging way. The emphasis will be on enjoying the process of writing. There will be time in the sessions for reading and feedback.

Anthony has published two novels and a collection of short stories. His BBC Radio 4 play won the Alfred Bradley Award for Radio Drama and he recently worked with Bristol Old Vic on the film, Myself in Other Lives.

His latest book (written with Eve Makis) is a guided journal to help people write their life stories and
is published by HarperCollins. He is a senior lecturer in Creative Writing at Nottingham Trent University.

WEIGHT LOSS & WELLNESS – Dates TBA – May 2020

The perfect week for those who like to get fit effortlessly and perhaps lose a few pounds. Expect a blend of long beach walks, yoga, boxing, paddle boarding lessons, combined with a light and delicious Mediterranean menu, made of locally grown organic produce. Guests lose an average of 4-6 pounds during their time with us. Looking and feeling great by the end of the week is just a by-product of the fun times we will have together.
